2010 is the bicentenary of the births of Chopin and Schumann and the tercentenary of the birth of Pergolesi. Chopin did not write any organ music so in the month of January, for the Offering voluntaries I will be playing the piano preludes opus 28 which Louis-James-Alfred Lefébure-Wely played at Chopin's Requiem Mass in the Madeleine on 30th October 1849. The concluding voluntaries will be French showpieces beginning with Lefébure-Wely himself.
