A distinguished group of 30 or so organists from the Netherlands will be touring Scotland and the North of England in October. We are very pleased that one of the organs they have chosen to view is our mighty Harrison and Harrison in its centenary year.

Centenary Recitals
The first of our two celebrity Centenary Recitals was given last night, in front of a large and very appreciative audience, by Ian Hare of Lancaster University. The event was greatly enhanced by the audience's being able to view the organist's hands and feet, sometimes, due to a split screen both at the same time, on a screen. We are indebted to David Hart for his technological wizardry in making this happen. Many thanks, too, to Robert Patterson, organist of St Etheldreda's, Ely Place, for very kindly acting as page-turner for the event, thus allowing me to hear the organ properly from a seat in the nave.
